Joining Wesco means becoming part of a dynamic, high‑impact organization that values innovation, safety, and the professional growth of every employee.

This position operates primarily from home but requires periodic travel to customer sites and Wesco’s chemical and hardware warehouses. The successful candidate will act as the trusted liaison between Wesco and its aerospace clientele, ensuring that chemical inventories are optimally stocked, compliant with federal regulations, and aligned with specific production requirements.

This is a full‑time, remote opportunity with an immediate start, offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $28 based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Each Day

  • Customer Advocacy: Represent Wesco’s vision, values, and quality standards in every interaction, cultivating lasting, high‑trust relationships with client production supervisors and site managers.
  • Product Mastery: Maintain deep knowledge of Wesco’s hardware, chemical, tooling, and electrical product lines, as well as the associated inventory systems, quality metrics, and customer specifications.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Track bin levels, cabinet stocks, and warehouse shelves to anticipate replenishment needs, initiating purchase orders and coordinating deliveries before stockouts occur.
  • Shelf‑Life Management: Conduct regular inspections of chemical inventories for expiration dates, perform shelf‑life assessments, and coordinate proper disposal or rotation of outdated materials.
  • Chemical Compatibility Analysis: Perform basic sampling and compatibility testing, evaluating pH levels and other key parameters to ensure that chemicals meet both customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Tank Additions: Execute precise chemical additions to production tanks per documented procedures supplied by customer laboratories, documenting batch numbers and quantities.
  • Machine Maintenance Support: Review and record drain, clean, and refill data for machining units (e.g., coalescer units), and assist with routine maintenance activities that protect fluid integrity and equipment performance.
  • Data Capture & Transmission: Use handheld scanners and integrated data systems to log inventory locations, generate replenishment orders, and upload accurate records to Wesco’s ERP platform.
  • Receiving & Verification: Inspect incoming shipments for correct part numbers, quantities, and documentation, verifying compliance with customer specifications before stocking.
  • Physical Material Handling: Safely operate pallet jacks, drum dollies, forklifts, and order pickers (upon certification) to move bulk chemicals, hazardous containers, and spare parts.
  • Housekeeping & Labeling: Keep work areas clean, affix proper hazard labels, and repair or replace bins, cabinets, and racks as needed to maintain an organized, compliant environment.
  • Waste Management: Prepare recyclable, non‑hazardous, and hazardous waste streams for proper disposal, coordinating with third‑party vendors and adhering to EPA and DOT regulations.
  • Spill Response: Act swiftly to contain and clean chemical releases, employing detection devices, PPE, and emergency protocols in line with OSHA and RCRA standards.
  • Reporting & Auditing: Develop, audit, and maintain inventory status reports, ensuring accuracy for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Cross‑Functional Communication: Liaise with on‑site supervisors, lead personnel, and Wesco program managers to address part number changes, bin relocations, and expedited shipping requests.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline inventory flows, reduce waste, and enhance data integrity, presenting actionable recommendations to management.
  • Compliance Adherence: Follow established safety, security, and regulatory procedures—including OSHA, FAR, EPA, DOT, and RCRA—while upholding Wesco’s Global Labor and Ethics Policy.
  • Training & Development: Participate in scheduled customer or company‑sponsored training sessions, staying current on industry best practices, safety standards, and technology updates.
  • Travel Flexibility: Be prepared to travel between customer sites, warehouses, and regional hubs as business needs dictate.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other related tasks assigned by supervisors to support the overall success of the supply‑chain operation.
