Company Overview – Pioneering Remote Diagnostic Imaging

At Workwarp, we are redefining the way patients receive high‑quality radiology services by leveraging cutting‑edge telehealth platforms and a fully remote workforce. Our mission is to bring precise, timely, and compassionate computed tomography (CT) imaging to every corner of the nation—without the constraints of geography. We partner with leading hospitals, specialty clinics, and physician groups to provide on‑demand imaging support that accelerates diagnosis, improves outcomes, and reduces the need for repeat studies.

Our culture is built on three core pillars: innovation, patient‑first care, and continuous learning. As a fully remote organization, we empower our team members with flexible schedules, robust technology, and a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and personal well‑being. If you are passionate about the art and science of CT imaging, love working in a dynamic, forward‑thinking team, and thrive in a weekend‑oriented schedule, you have found the right place.

Position Summary – Weekend Option CT Technologist (Remote)

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Weekend CT Technologist to join our expanding tele‑radiology network. This role is critical to maintaining our weekend imaging coverage, ensuring that patients receive accurate, high‑resolution cross‑sectional images even during off‑peak hours. Working from the comfort of your home, you will operate state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, adhere to standardized protocols, and collaborate closely with radiologists, IT support staff, and patient care teams.

The position offers an immediate start date, a competitive salary, and a fully remote work environment. You will be part of a nationally recognized organization that values safety, quality, and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Perform High‑Quality CT Examinations: Operate advanced CT equipment to acquire detailed, diagnostically valuable images of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities, following evidence‑based protocols that optimize image quality while minimizing radiation dose.
  • Maintain Radiation Safety Standards: Apply ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles, conduct dose monitoring, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional radiation safety regulations.
  • Patient Interaction & Education: Communicate clearly with patients via phone or video, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for the scan to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation.
  • Documentation & Charge Capture: Accurately complete Computerized Health Information (CHL) entries, upload images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and verify that all services are correctly coded and billed.
  • Quality Assurance & Workflow Optimization: Review image sets for completeness and technical adequacy, flag any errors promptly, and collaborate with radiologists to resolve imaging issues.
  • Collaboration with Remote Radiology Team: Participate in virtual case reviews, attend daily huddles, and provide timely feedback to improve protocols and patient throughput.
  • Adherence to Just Culture Principles: Report incidents, near‑misses, and equipment malfunctions transparently, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Learning & Professional Development: Stay current with emerging CT technologies, software updates, and industry best practices through webinars, certifications, and internal training modules.
  • Additional Duties as Assigned: Support weekend on‑call rotation, assist with remote education sessions for new technologists, and contribute to quality improvement projects as needed.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Education: High school diploma or GED AND graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (associate’s or bachelor's degree) with an emphasis on computed tomography.
  • Licensure/Certification: Active certification in at least one of the following:
    • ARRT – RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT)
    • NMTCB – CNMT or NMTCB(CT)
    • Combined credentials (e.g., ARRT RT(N) + NMTCB(CT), or ARRT RT(R) + NMTCB(CT))
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Red Cross or American Heart Association provider‑level certification.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to operate modern CT platforms (e.g., Siemens SOMATOM, GE Revolution, Philips Brilliance) and familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR interfaces.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Reliable high‑speed internet connection, a dedicated, private workspace, and compliance with HIPAA security standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical information to patients and multidisciplinary teams clearly and compassionately.
  • Professionalism & Ethics: Commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and adherence to institutional policies.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Advanced certification in CT (e.g., ARRT CT Specialty) or a Master’s degree in Radiologic Sciences.
  • Experience working in a remote or teleradiology environment, including familiarity with virtual case management tools.
  • Knowledge of dose‑optimization software (e.g., Automated Exposure Control, Iterative Reconstruction).
  • Previous experience in weekend or shift work, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Demonstrated participation in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, or professional societies (e.g., ACR, SRRT).

Core Skills & Competencies – The Blueprint for Success

  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of CT physics, image acquisition parameters, and post‑processing techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to scrutinize images for artifacts, positioning errors, and diagnostic adequacy.
