Job Overview
In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies, processes, and frameworks to integrate and analyze diverse data sets, including structured and unstructured data. You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee project implementations, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently in accordance with strategic plans. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies, processes, and frameworks to integrate and analyze diverse data sets, including structured and unstructured data.
- Lead cross-functional teams, oversee project implementations, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently in accordance with strategic plans.
- Proactively identify and resolve complex issues, leveraging your expertise in data science and customer support to drive business solutions.
- Design and develop software programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate, and evaluate datasets.
- Stay up-to-date with new scientific techniques and technologies, applying your knowledge to drive innovation and excellence within our organization.
- Collaborate with functional specialty units to drive business solutions and direction, fostering a culture of cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
- Establish credibility with partners, managing expectations and ensuring regular, consistent, and effective communications with colleagues and stakeholders.
- May develop and manage budgets for functional areas, overseeing financial planning and ensuring that business objectives are met.
- Stay current with industry-leading best practices, applying your knowledge to drive creative solutions and business growth.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
- Experience with analytical and statistical software, including SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and others.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and open-source data science and statistics packages, such as Python, R, and Spark.
- Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including peers, colleagues, leadership, and business partners.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace, with a strong understanding of budgeting and financial planning.
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including within and outside of the state.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
- Experience communicating at the executive level, with a strong ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of driving business growth and excellence.
