In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with their benefits packages, including 401K, Health Insurance, Pension, and Payroll related inquiries. Your expertise and guidance will help customers navigate our website and application, resolve issues, and make informed decisions about their benefits. As a Virtual Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues, and ensuring seamless benefits enrollment and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, providing timely and accurate solutions to their benefits-related questions and concerns.
- Assist customers with website or application-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Answer questions and provide information about our products and services, including benefits plans, enrollment processes, and administrative procedures.
- Guide customers through the benefits enrollment process, ensuring they understand their options and make informed decisions.
- Document customer interactions in our client system, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all conversations, issues, and resolutions.
- Transfer data from documents into our client system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process transactions, such as health enrollments, tax and direct deposit information updates, 401K withdrawals or contributions, and retirement elections, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct independent research, utilizing tools and resources provided, to determine the best resolution to a customer's case, working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service, work independently, and navigate complex benefits administration systems.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of call center experience or 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a benefits administration or related field.
- Strong computer navigation and organizational skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Commitment to attending 100% of online training, with no missed time, and completing all required training modules.
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive customer information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven track record of self-motivation and discipline.
- Knowledge of benefits administration, including 401K, Health Insurance, Pension, and Payroll related concepts and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
Technical Requirements
To perform the duties of this role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:
- Desktop or laptop computer (Windows 10 operating system, i4 or greater processor, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD or better hard drive).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (20MB download minimum, 10MB upload minimum, SL, Cable, or Fiber ONLY).
- Wired USB headset with built-in microphone and noise cancellation (Plantronics 3310 or 3320 recommended).
- Active, functioning webcam for training and meetings.
- Second monitor or screen required.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- $17.00 per hour pay rate once you reach production.
- Paid training at $15.25 per hour.
