We are a remote-first company, considering candidates across the United States. Our corporate office is located in San Francisco. We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Specialist to lead our clinical quality and accreditation initiatives. This role will involve managing compliance with NCQA standards and other relevant accreditation requirements, overseeing existing quality metrics, and ensuring that our telemedicine services adhere to industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Healthcare Quality and Accreditation Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with various teams to drive continuous improvement in clinical quality. Key responsibilities include:
- Quality Program Management: Implement and maintain a comprehensive quality program that aligns with the company's strategic goals, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of existing quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure adherence to established quality protocols and best practices.
- Accreditation Management: Maintain compliance with NCQA standards and other relevant accreditation requirements, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory obligations, monitoring and interpreting accreditation standards and guidelines to keep the company compliant with evolving requirements, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure policies and procedures are updated according to accreditation standards.
- Quality Assurance and Reporting: Lead clinical quality assurance efforts, including audits, quality metric performance analysis, and process improvements in partnership with clinical leadership, analyze existing quality performance reports, providing insights and recommendations to leadership for enhancing clinical outcomes, and communicate quality performance results and improvement strategies to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Training and Support: Provide ongoing training and support to clinical staff on quality standards, compliance measures, and best practices, lead onboarding and retraining processes in collaboration with clinical leadership to ensure clinical staff are aligned with accreditation and general quality expectations.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive initiatives focused on enhancing clinical quality, patient safety, and overall patient care experiences, collaborate with teams to implement strategies that improve patient satisfaction and clinician performance.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in clinical quality, accreditation, or healthcare compliance, preferably within telemedicine or a similar healthcare setting, and minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintaining accreditation programs in a healthcare setting (e.g., NCQA, URAC, etc.).
- Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of NCQA standards and other relevant accreditation processes, proven ability to manage existing quality metrics and support continuous improvement, excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
