Job Overview
Under moderate supervision, the Senior Data Analyst will plan and execute cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for data/text mining, analysis, and insights to enable informed business decisions. This is a full-time remote position, offering a competitive salary of $25 per hour, with a standard 8-hour workday. The ideal candidate will be based in Nashville, USA, and will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and quantitative business problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply statistical analysis procedures to inspect structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources, gaining insights into key business issues and expectations.
- Develop and implement solutions from initial concept to production, communicating results to a broad range of audiences.
- Utilize current and emerging technologies to assess trends and foster significant insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the data available for analysis.
- Drive navigation through the use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis, limited modeling, and fact-based management.
- Mentor less senior staff, working in cross-functional teams and projects, and presenting to management as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance.
- At least 3 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations research, marketing analysis, simulation development, or predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in analysis software and applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present results to a broad range of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or coursework with Agile methodologies, such as SAFE Scrum.
- Experience with the following: requirements gathering; probability and statistics; TSQL/PLSQL; Python or R; mathematical modeling; discrete event simulation; data visualization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Python/R, automation, revenue data, and basic accounting information.
