Our client, a top health insurance provider, is currently adding Client Managers to their sales team. Client facing appointments/account management position.
Degreed, 4+ years experience in insurance industry; can be inside salesperson background

Position Summary:
The Client Manager serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned employer groups. This role is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, driving retention, and supporting growth by delivering strategic benefit solutions and outstanding service. The Client Manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients, brokers, and internal partners, ensuring that Elan?s solutions are implemented effectively and consistently meet or exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship & Retention
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring responsive, high-quality service.
• Develop a deep understanding of each client?s business objectives, benefit strategy, and employee needs.
• Conduct quarterly account reviews to assess performance, identify improvement opportunities, and address concerns proactively.
• Achieve and maintain retention goals by strengthening relationships and delivering value-added solutions.
Strategic Consultation
• Partner with clients to design and execute benefit strategies aligned to their cost, quality, and employee engagement goals.
• Present performance reports, renewal strategies, and market insights to client leadership.
• Collaborate with brokers/consultants to position Elan competitively in the marketplace.
Sales Support & Growth
• Support new business opportunities by participating in finalist meetings and client presentations.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts, driving adoption of Elan?s full suite of solutions.
• Achieve or exceed assigned growth targets in revenue, surplus, and participation.
Operational Excellence
• Coordinate with internal teams (implementation, operations, member services) to ensure flawless onboarding and service delivery.
• Monitor escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication with clients.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and internal standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor?s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3?5 years of experience in client management, account management, or benefits consulting ? preferably in health insurance, employee benefits, or healthcare services.
• Strong understanding of group health insurance, funding arrangements, and ancillary benefits.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events, including outside of the State.
