Role Overview: What You’ll Do

As a Remote Intern – Airport Customer Service Field Support & Analytics, you will be embedded within the Customer Experience business unit, reporting to the ACS Field Support Team Lead. Your primary mission is to support strategic initiatives that enhance operational performance, elevate the passenger experience, and drive data‑informed decision‑making across Delta’s global network.

Over a 12‑week period (May 12 – August 1, 2025), you will rotate through a series of high‑visibility projects, culminating in a comprehensive presentation to senior leadership. You will gain exposure to multiple functional areas, including Aviation Management, Strategy, Process Engineering, and Business Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Measurement & Analysis: Gather, clean, and interpret operational data to assess current service levels, identify trends, and propose actionable insights.
  • Project Management Execution: Apply proven project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma) to plan, track, and deliver project milestones on time and within scope.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders from Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer Service to align objectives, share findings, and drive consensus.
  • Process Engineering & Consulting: Conduct process mapping workshops, identify bottlenecks, and recommend streamlined workflows that improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Design and execute data collection plans, develop dashboards, and prepare concise reports that translate complex analytics into clear business narratives.
  • Innovation & Ideation: Brainstorm new service concepts, evaluate pilot programs, and assess the operational impact of emerging technologies (e.g., AI‑driven chatbots, predictive baggage handling).

Essential Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Enrolled in an accredited 4‑year university program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic standing with a GPA of 3.2 or higher (or equivalent demonstrated competence).
