Job Overview

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Senior IT Project Management Specialist to work remotely and manage complex IT projects from start to finish. As a Contract to Hire position, this role offers the potential for long-term employment with our company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support project assignments through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Administer procedures and processes that measure and manage customer satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Analyze and report trends, providing interpretation of report information and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify required resources, research project data, procedures, and history to gain a thorough understanding of project direction.
  • Prepare and manage project plans, including creating project timelines and tracking projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Provide data analysis, including identifying and recognizing trends across multiple offices for national client operations.
  • Monitor and assess data for accuracy and integrity, communicating activity progress to involved parties.
  • Assist Program Managers in resolving issues that arise, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Deliver oral and written presentations of project results, providing training to colleagues as needed.
  • Help to transition programs as needed, ensuring a smooth handover and minimal disruption to business operations.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, or Computer Sciences.
  • At least six years of related experience in IT project management, including two years of general business experience with clients on data analysis or planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Experience in creating project timelines and tracking projects through the SDLC.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:

  • Certification in IT project management, such as PMP or Agile.
  • Experience in presenting materials on the phone or video conference to external audiences, and updating those materials on the fly during the presentation.
  • Direct external client interaction experience, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with clients.
  • Experience in managing and supporting project assignments through completion, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
