Job Description
We are seeking experienced virtual tutors to join our Fall 2023 tutor pool for the upcoming school year. As a virtual tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one tutoring to students in grades 5-12 who need additional English/Reading support. You will have the flexibility to choose the grades you work with and set your own availability, making this an ideal opportunity for those seeking a supplemental income with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in grades 5-12 who need additional English/Reading support
- Engage with the same student(s) on a regular schedule, fostering a consistent and supportive learning environment
- Use online virtual tools and technology to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and the Littera Education team
- Set and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with students and families
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity
- Ability to instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree or some college coursework completed
- High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology
- Computer with the Chrome browser, camera, and quality internet connection
- Reside in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii and have a USA-based bank account to receive payments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with students in grades 5-12
- Knowledge of English/Reading curriculum and instructional strategies
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills
