Job Overview

The School Year Site Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing site logistics and tutor performance during our school year program. This position requires a strong leader who can develop and maintain strong relationships with site staff and the community, ensure tutors have the necessary resources to help scholars succeed, and manage the day-to-day operations of the tutoring site. The ideal candidate will have a background in education, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and experience in overseeing the work of others. This is a part-time position, with the program running for 24 weeks (Fall & Spring sessions), and work hours not exceeding 29 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with site staff and the community to ensure the success of the tutoring program.
  • Ensure tutors have the necessary materials and resources to help scholars succeed, including managing tutor work schedules and apprising the Program Director of any issues.
  • Complete and submit digital records of tutor and scholar attendance, scholar rosters, and site concerns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with program staff, including participating in weekly meetings with other Site Coordinators and collaborating with Instructional Coaches to review tutor performance and provide guidance as needed.
  • Manage the tutoring site, ensuring a safe, productive, and respectful environment for all scholars and tutors.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of education.
  • New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form).
  • Experience in teaching or a related field.
  • Past history of overseeing the work of others.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Experience as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, teacher, or community member who works with children.

Final offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and employment authorization verification. You will also need to meet the COVID requirements of the Local Education Agency (LEA) site at which you are working, including showing proof of vaccination and following mask rules for LEA while indoors.
