About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Substitute Teacher to join our team in Closter, NJ. Key Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- Three professional references, with at least one from a previous direct supervisor
- A NJ Substitute Credential
- A background check and TB risk assessment (we will cover the cost of this)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first

Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of trauma-informed teaching practices and classroom management strategies

- Familiarity with educational technology and software
