Job Overview

This is a part-time traveling role providing concession support in the West region to new OVG Hospitality accounts. As an Onboarding Support Specialist, you will be an experienced food service operator working under the direction of the Corporate and Regional Leadership team to assist with onboarding new F&B accounts and working large events within the company standards of culinary safety, presentation, and culture. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing venues for opening, training staff, and ensuring that our concession stands are equipped to deliver world-class service to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tour and audit existing concession stands for equipment and inventory, documenting needs and issues to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Execute all concession decisions made by the RVP/General Manager, ensuring that our venues are prepared for events and that our staff is trained to provide exceptional service.
  • Assemble new concession equipment, train new managers on maintenance and cleaning, and ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about our concession menu items and stand operations.
  • Stock supplies, take inventory, and recommend staffing levels for stands based on event attendance to ensure that we are adequately prepared to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Train existing staff on proper set-up and tear-down of stands to OVG standards, including sanitation and food safety requirements, and provide documentation to support our training programs.
  • Understand and explain concession menu items to staff, prepare stands for product displays, food pricing, and common equipment issues and resolution to ensure that our staff is equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Help set up new POS systems with the IT team, train staff on the new system, and provide support to ensure a seamless transition to our new technology.
  • Assist the venue team with pre-opening checklists and implementation plans, suggest areas of improvement, and provide hands-on event support for opening to ensure that our venues are prepared to deliver world-class service.
  • Promote OVG's commitments to sustainability and world-class customer service, and ensure that our staff is knowledgeable about our company values and mission.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an Associate's degree from an accredited college/university with major course work in Culinary Arts, Food Service Operations, or a related field. You will also need to have at least 3+ years of experience working in Concessions, preferably in Supervisor or Lead roles, and a proven track record of success in training multiple staff members in Concessions.

  • Team player with a problem-solving mindset and excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and quickly changing priorities, and a flexible approach to your role and responsibilities.
  • Experience in training multiple staff members in Concessions, and excellent communication skills to interact with public and leadership teams.
  • Ability to travel to, and work at other OVG venues as directed by the business needs, and a willingness to adopt a flexible approach to your role and responsibilities.
