Job Summary

We're seeking experienced Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residents who want to jumpstart their clinical career as a Primary Care Physician. As a Pathways Physician, you'll receive a salary, mentoring, and various other learning experiences focused on preparing for your career with the Optum American Health Network. This role offers a great job and a vibrant community, with a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Care Physician, you'll be responsible for:
  • Preparing for Day One at your practice up to one year in advance of completing your resident or fellowship program
  • Receiving a salary, mentoring, and various other learning experiences focused on preparing for your career with the Optum American Health Network
  • Learning how to practice and thrive in a value-based care model
  • Gaining exposure to the Quadruple Aim framework and various understandings of care settings
  • Receiving mentorship from experienced physicians within your future practice, easing your transition from training into practice
  • Participating in a customized program that will be completed at American Health Network facilities in Indiana, or Ohio, and virtually
  • Committing to a few hours of work per month

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Hold an M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Be transitioning into your final year of residency or fellowship
