Position Overview Tutor Partners is seeking passionate and reliable virtual K–5 ELA tutors to help elementary students build confidence, close learning gaps, and develop strong literacy skills. Our tutors deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that emphasizes reading fluency, comprehension, writing, and vocabulary development. Key Responsibilities • Provide consistent, high-quality ELA tutoring in a virtual setting for students in grades K–5 • Use data and assessments to personalize lessons and monitor progress • Build strong, supportive relationships that motivate students and foster a love of reading and writing • Actively engage students with strategies that support critical thinking, creativity, and confidence • Collaborate with educators and coaches to align tutoring with classroom learning • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and cultural responsiveness at all times Qualifications • Associate’s degree or 24+ college credits required (Bachelor’s degree preferred) • Strong knowledge of K–5 ELA skills, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, and writing • Experience working with children in educational settings (classroom, tutoring, etc.) • Reliable technology and internet for virtual instruction • Patience, empathy, and commitment to equity and culturally responsive practices What We Offer • Competitive pay and bonuses • Part-time, flexible schedule to fit your lifestyle • Real opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of children and families At Tutor Partners, we believe every student deserves a committed, compassionate tutor who empowers them to reach their fullest potential.
