**Key Responsibilities**
As a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Responding to incoming calls from members, providers, and other stakeholders, providing professional phone assistance and guidance through the prior authorization process
* Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all approvals, denials, and transfers, ensuring seamless communication between our clinical staff and external stakeholders
* Collaborating with our clinical team to resolve complex clinical questions and judgment calls, ensuring that all decisions are made in the best interest of our members
* Providing exceptional customer service, responding to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
* Participating in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a high-volume call center environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members, providers, and clinical staff
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex clinical information and make informed decisions
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
* Pharmacy Technician Certification at a State or National level
* Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology systems
