As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders, handling property and casualty (p&c) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone. As a work-from-home opportunity, this role offers the flexibility and autonomy that many professionals are looking for, while still providing the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization. **Responsibilities** As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative, your responsibilities will include: * Contacting policyholders from our existing book of business through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal * Reviewing and updating policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer * Counseling policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance * Making appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gaining policyholder acceptance to process the changes * Receiving and responding to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC * Utilizing knowledge of the insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service * Providing quotes on endorsements as requested * Identifying opportunities to apply discounts, processing insurance verification forms for insured, and acting as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies * Processing changes to policies within EPIC, as well as submitting changes to specific companies and following up to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner * Reviewing policy information and referencing company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims * Mailing insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, and following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer * Recognizing cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtaining quote information * Performing other duties as assigned **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment * A Property and Casualty insurance license, which is required * A Membership license, which is preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Proficiency in EPIC and other relevant software systems * A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional results **What We Offer** As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will enjoy a range of benefits and perks, including: * A competitive hourly rate, depending on experience and salary zone * Eligibility for Annual Merit Increase * Comprehensive Health benefits package, including Paid Time Off (accruals begin on first day of employment), 401(k) plan with a company match, Medical, Dental, Prescription, and Vision Coverage, Tuition Reimbursement, Life Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts * Nearly 4 weeks of paid time off accrued during the first year * Paid time off to volunteer * Tuition reimbursement * 401(K) plan with company match up to 7% * Free AAA Premier Battery Membership **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a work-from-home opportunity, this role offers the flexibility and autonomy that many professionals are looking for.
