Job Overview
As a Data Engineer - Data Analytics at Blithequark, you will be responsible for designing and operationalizing data pipelines to make data available for consumption, including data ingestion, transformation, validation, and quality control. You will work closely with our Data Architects, Data Scientists, and BI Architects to develop and maintain scalable data models and pipelines, ensuring that our data solutions meet the evolving needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy automated data pipelines from various internal and external data sources, using your expertise in data engineering and analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineering, and data platform groups, to design, build, test, and automate data pipelines that serve as the single source of truth across the organization.
- Develop and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and data quality.
- Work with large, complex datasets to meet business requirements, applying your knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing to drive high-value insights for the organization.
- Support the development of Data Dictionaries and Data Taxonomy for product offerings, ensuring that our data solutions are well-documented and easily accessible.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and providing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Modeling, ETL, and Data Warehousing.
- 3+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies, such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Databricks Live Table, Spark, Azure Synapse, and other big data technologies.
- Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of relational databases and business data, with the ability to write complex SQL queries against various data sources.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent programming/services experience.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Azure Certifications.
- Experience implementing data integration strategies, such as event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub), ETL.
- Experience with Git/Azure DevOps.
- Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with the retail industry.
- Experience working with SAP integration tools, including Bodies.
- Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler.
