Job Overview
This part-time Data Entry Technician position is a fantastic chance to join our customs brokerage team, working 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, understanding and identifying customs documentation, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understand and identify customs documentation, including customs declarations and other relevant documents.
- Transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system, allowing for the build of a valid customs declaration.
- Verify documents received for import customs purposes are compliant and correct, ensuring adherence to regulations and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a strong understanding of customs brokerage procedures and protocols.
- Daily execution of workflow and department metrics, contributing to the team's overall performance and success.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
