About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their concerns in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service, and that their needs are met with empathy, understanding, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our internal policies, procedures, and services, including departmental and operational knowledge
  • Utilize automated systems to log and retrieve information, perform accurate and timely data entry, and manage electronic faxes
  • Receive and respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, fax, or mail, ensuring that all responses are provided within required turnaround times
  • Interact with external partners, including hospitals, physicians, beneficiaries, and other program recipients, to facilitate communication and resolve issues
  • Perform verification of healthcare services to facilitate payment for received services, and identify medical claims that meet CPT/DRG audit criteria
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • Investigate and resolve provider problems, and escalate difficult situations to the appropriate party as needed
  • Meet or exceed standards for call volume and service level per department guidelines, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional support
  • Initiate cases by collecting and entering demographic, provider, and procedure information into our system
  • Prepare and complete daily, monthly, and quarterly reports as necessary for clinical team operations and client reporting

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and experience:

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in using PC tools, including electronic mail, intranet, and standard industry applications
  • Effective verbal and listening skills to provide courteous and professional customer service

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Medical terminology knowledge is preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience

The pay range for this position is $15.48-$17.20 an hour, depending on experience and skill level. We also offer a range of perks and benefits, including flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a dynamic and supportive work environment.
