While your daily responsibilities may vary by department, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. **Customer Service Associate Departments** Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: * Appliances * Cabinets * Flooring * Live Nursery * Inside Garden * Hardware * Tools * Millwork * Building Materials * Plumbing * Electrical * Paint * Home Décor * Tool Rental * Pro Services **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate, your key responsibilities will include: * Welcoming customers to blithequark, answering questions, and delivering friendly and professional customer service * Assisting customers with locating and handling merchandise * Down stocking merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies * Processing orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time * Cross-functionally training in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service * Preparing merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds) * Guiding customers through shopping or checkout * Completing other duties as assigned **Minimum Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you must have: * 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information * 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets * Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) * The ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties * The ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we prefer candidates with: * 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience * Bi-lingual skills * Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials) **Travel Requirements** This role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores. **Working Conditions** Environmental factors vary by location.
