With a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work from home, you will have the freedom to balance your work and personal life while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. **Key Responsibilities:** * Answer incoming calls from patients and caregivers with empathy and professionalism, responding to their questions and providing essential information * Assist with enrollment, program applications, and setup in applicable systems, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing delays * Retrieve information to support caregivers with payroll-related inquiries, providing accurate and timely solutions * Utilize de-escalation techniques to effectively manage upset or frustrated callers, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor * Offer guidance and directions to both caregivers and patients to resolve any issues they may be facing, ensuring a positive experience * Document information and outcomes as necessary, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements **About You:** To succeed in this role, you should possess a minimum of one year of customer service experience, with a strong foundation in computer skills and the ability to offer troubleshooting advice when needed. You will also need: * The ability to offer empathy, patience, and a friendly demeanor at all times, even in challenging situations * The ability to handle calls of a sensitive nature and de-escalate emotionally charged patients and caregivers * Great active listening skills, ensuring you understand the needs and concerns of each caller * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey information and resolve issues * Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all interactions * The ability to multitask and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively * A quality-focused mindset and a desire to achieve first call resolution whenever possible, striving for excellence in every interaction * The ability to accurately and confidently work with numbers and discuss money, ensuring a clear understanding of financial concepts **Your Home Office Environment:** To ensure a productive and efficient work environment, you will need: * A computer meeting the following criteria: + Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time) + Memory: 8GB of RAM + CPUs (Speed * Processors): 6 + Hard Drive: At least 500MB of free space + Sound: sound card (standard on most computers) + Up-to-date antivirus software + Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please) + Dual monitors + A USB noise-cancelling headset + A webcam for your certification experience **Where blithequark Contracts:** blithequark contracts with people in 31 states, excluding AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, and WI. We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US. **Flexible Hours of Operation:** As a Customer Service Representative, you will enjoy flexible scheduling, using a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don't, within the client's hours of operation. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 08:00 PM ET. Please note that this third-party client requires that contractors service between 30-35 hours per week. Due to Mondays and Fridays being particularly busy, the client is seeking contractors who can service some hours on those days. **Pay and Perks:** This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. Prior to supporting PPL, you will need to successfully complete a Certification class, which will take place from December 30th through January 8th, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Class will not be held on New Year's Day. While you will not be able to invoice for the $13 per hour during Certification, you will receive $250 after you successfully complete certification and begin servicing. **Your Remote, Independent Contractor Status:** As a remote, independent contractor, you will have the freedom to work in the comfort of your own home – or anywhere in the US you can meet the office requirements.
