Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous customer service experience in a retail environment preferred * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly in customer service or sales * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
