Location: NJ-New Providence Job Description: Position: Optical Networking Coop Number of Position(s): 4 Duration: 4 months+ Date: January 206 - May 2026 Location: Hybrid in Murray Hill, NJ EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS: Currently a candidate for a Master's or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field in an accredited school in the United States. Your responsibilities As a Co-Op, you will be part of a dynamic team developing, testing, and supporting innovative hardware and software systems. In this role, you will: Analyze, design, and test integrated hardware/software solutions based on customer requirements, contributing to product enhancements and bug resolutions. Investigate and resolve customer issues by diagnosing hardware/software problems and recommending corrective actions. Support the planning and implementation of technical requirements, including controlled software/hardware production releases and updates. Apply quality standards and participate in process improvements and documentation for product evolution and support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical knowledge and informal guidance to peers and support teams. Your skills and experience Strong programming skills in Python/Any other automation tools. Knowledge in Hardware/Middleware/Software development cycle. Exposure to Networking, Security Protocols Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively. Familiarity with version control systems and experience supporting software/hardware release cycles is a plus. Knowledge of quality standards and interest in contributing to process improvement and technical documentation. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and provide peer-level guidance when needed It would be nice if you also had: Previous Nokia intern or co-op experience.
