**Experienced Full Stack Product Design Engineer – Home and Music Experience Development**

As a Product Design Engineer at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from ideation to prototyping and testing. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges, and you'll be responsible for creating, modeling, assessing, and investigating new designs. Your work will be showcased to cross-functional teams and leaders, and you'll have the opportunity to present your ideas and contribute to peer design reviews.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with various disciplines, including Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams to develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges
* Conceptualize ideas and solutions for a wide range of design issues
* Create, model, assess, and investigate new designs
* Lead design audits and contribute to peer design reviews
* Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders
* Produce detailed specifications and drawings
* Communicate with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance designs for manufacturability, aesthetics, and performance
* Direct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Approve and describe designs through various iterations
* Foster deep technical knowledge by taking designs from concept to production
* Ensure that designs meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier products to our customers
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or related field
* Strong design fundamentals and high personal motivation
* Design insight: exact mechanical intuition, creative problem-solving, curious nature, attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills: written, visual, and verbal. Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to conceptualize
* Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD
* Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis methods, functional dimensioning, and mathematical tolerancing
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
* Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Design or related field
* Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping
* Knowledge of computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools and software
* Experience with design for sustainability and environmental impact
* Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and user experience (UX) design
