Position Title Student Administrative Assistant II _Non-FWS Level of Support Student Support II Position Type Non-FWS Number of Openings 1 Work Hours During Standard Business Hours (M-F 8am-5pm) Wage Per Hour 19 Division/School Elliott School of International Affairs Department Name 181901 THE INST FOR MIDDLE EAST STUDIES Department Bio Position Specific Summary The Middle East Studies (MES) Program Assistant works directly with the Program Director to support the Middle East Studies BA and MA programs, including: maintaining student records, communicating with other ESIA offices and departments on program needs, assisting with course scheduling, updating the program website, assisting in planning MES Program events and drafting MES Program materials, managing the outreach library and MES accounts (email, Google Drive, and LinkedIn), and supporting office management in collaboration with the IMES Program Associate. Standard Position Description The student will serve as an administrative assistant and perform tasks to support the operations of the the office or department. Task may include managing small to mid-level projects or events, responding to departmental inquiries, assist with communications and marketing, data entry, and other general office tasks. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
