Senior Network Administrator
Description:
• Administer and maintain enterprise network and server infrastructure, including virtualized and cloud-integrated systems.
• Monitor network performance and health; diagnose and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, and configuration.
• Apply patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes to routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Support system optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning across environments.
• Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures in line with continuity of operations (COOP) requirements.
• Automate routine administrative tasks and monitoring using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Document network configurations, events, changes, and incident responses per established operational standards.
• Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, and engineers to maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including IAVA, STIGs, and audit readiness.
• Support interface management and integration with external systems, ensuring security and data integrity.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in network administration or enterprise infrastructure support.
• IAM/IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in installing, patching, upgrading, and configuring system software and hardware.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning, backup/restore protocols, and network security practices.
• Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
