About the position Responsibilities • Design, develop, maintain, and implement Lottery IT systems and applications. • Execute project assignments within the framework of the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM). • Develop, test, implement, and deploy IT application releases, updates, and modifications. • Prepare clear and concise documentation for IT applications and systems. • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to establish and maintain relationships. • Resolve problems in a timely manner and seek effective solutions. Requirements • Possession of an Associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management, or mathematics. • No specific amount or type of experience is required for this position. • Alternate education and experience may include completion of high school and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, IT Technician, or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant. Nice-to-haves • Experience developing web applications using C#.NET programming language. • Experience with Model View Controller (MVC) and/or Entity Framework. • Experience using Azure DevOps. • Experience testing software for errors or defects. • Experience performing code reviews. • Experience using Git or other version control systems.
