Junior Email & Web Designer - Part-Time - (Must be local to NYC)
Our mission-driven non-profit client in NY, NY, is looking for a Junior UI/Digital Designer to join their team on a part-time contract. This role is up to 20 hours a week with the potential to increase in hours. The position is currently remote, but you must be willing and able to come to the Manhattan office as needed.
The ideal candidate has experience designing landing pages, microsites, etc. You will be comfortable working across multiple teams to deliver the required results.
You will be required to mock up a landing page or similar as an assessment as part of the interview process.
Duties Of The UI/Digital Designer
• Design high-fidelity mockups and wireframes for landing pages, donation flows, and other web content aligned with campaign goals
• Apply strong UX instincts to create intuitive, user-centred layouts and content structures
• Collaborate with the UX Manager on broader web design improvements and creative direction
• Work closely with developers and email producers to ensure smooth design-to-build handoffs
• Create full-image marketing emails and modular graphics optimized for deliverability, accessibility, and mobile
• Develop reusable, on-brand templates and assets for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar ESP)
• Use performance data (e.g., A/B tests, heatmaps) to refine visual strategies
• Stay current on best practices in web/email design, accessibility, and emerging tools like AI
• Oversee implementation to ensure final outputs align with project scope and brand guidelines.
Requirements of the UI/Digital Designer
• A minimum of 1 years of experience designing landing pages, microsites, emails, and digital collateral
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
• Experience creating email templates within Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
• Strong portfolio showcasing email and landing page designs across devices.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, especially visual hierarchy and content flow.
• Experience designing within brand guidelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Interest in mission-driven organizations is preferred
