What You Will Be Doing • Orchestrating seamless virtual workshops by managing breakout rooms, transitions, and interactive group activities. • Inspiring and motivating students through dynamic engagement techniques, including chats and personalized check-ins. • Ensuring students remain engaged, confident, and connected during their educational journey. • Providing critical logistical support to lead educators, ensuring workshops proceed without a hitch. • Fostering a vibrant community across bilingual tracks and clubs as a culture-builder and trusted guide. What You Won’t Be Doing • Delivering traditional academic instruction or teaching content. • Crafting lesson plans or grading student work. • Developing curriculum or independently running workshops. • Taking a passive role—this position demands active and energetic engagement. Virtual Learning Assistant Key Responsibilities Ensure dynamic and engaging virtual learning environments that keep students motivated, organized, and actively participating in each workshop. Basic Requirements • Availability to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7). • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or youth leadership. • Educational experience within the US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16), with attendance in one of these countries (current location can be global). • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency with digital platforms. • An energizing, student-focused presence with attention to detail and a knack for smooth transitions. Nice-to-have Requirements • Experience with online learning tools or youth enrichment initiatives. • Background in after-school programs, summer camps, or leadership of clubs. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
