About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop, test, analyze, and debug agency applications following industry best practices.
• Design, develop, modify, implement, maintain, and support assigned web-based applications.
• Analyze, review, and revise programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new procedures.
• Assist in the development of technology solutions to address automation needs.
• Perform technical analysis work for proposed projects and modifications to existing systems.
• Design, modify, and implement new or revised systems to improve workflow.
• Participate in scoping discussions and propose solutions using the assigned product framework.
• Implement measures to safeguard agency information.
• Provide programming and system analysis expertise in developing applications.
• Complete support tickets, including troubleshooting coding errors.
• Ensure customer needs are translated into system requirements and design.
• Conduct testing to verify programming logic and compliance with standards.
• Provide status updates on work assignments and technical issues.
• Recommend secure coding practices to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Assist in forecasting requirements for system applications.
• Support in identifying and resolving issues with systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain expertise in programming tools and stay current on technology updates.
• Analyze SDLC processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with the Information Security team and other analysts to assess business requirements.
• Perform periodic risk assessments on agency applications.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of full-time work experience in cybersecurity, data analysis, or information technology may replace 30 semester hours of coursework, up to 4 years full-time work experience.
• One year of full-time working experience in information technology as an application developer or programmer.
• Three years of relevant full-time work experience for Programmer II, five years for Programmer III, and seven years for Programmer IV in application systems analysis and design, and application development.
• Required skills include .net, c#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL.
Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of Rest APIs, MVC, Azure, ColdFusion.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in ensuring Web accessibility compliance for technology solutions.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT or similar CI/CD tools.
