Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic PMO Manager to lead the Project Management Office across all initiatives at Living Stones Foundation. The PMO Manager will be responsible for establishing and overseeing project management standards, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of multiple high-impact projects through effective management of timelines, milestones, and progress reporting.
This role is critical to enhancing organizational capacity, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability across diverse projects spanning technology, social innovation, and sustainable development.
We welcome applications from students currently on OPT (Optional Practical Training) seeking practical experience in project and program management within a global nonprofit context.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure timely delivery.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Create and manage comprehensive progress reports and dashboards for project teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Leadership & Governance
Define and enforce project management frameworks, policies, and best practices organization-wide.
• Portfolio & Program Oversight
Manage the lifecycle of projects across different programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Team Coordination & Support
Lead, mentor, and coordinate project managers and teams across multiple disciplines and geographies.
• Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and enhance project workflows, tools, and communication channels to optimize performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a liaison between project teams, executive leadership, donors, and partners to facilitate transparency and informed decision-making.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management, preferably within nonprofits or social impact organizations.
• Proven ability to manage detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Jira, Trello, or similar).
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (Spanish proficiency is mandatory).
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is a plus.
• Students on OPT (minimum 12 months duration) seeking practical project management experience are encouraged to apply.
• Availability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Public speaking and presentation skills are a plus.

Volunteer Details
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week
• Meetings: Weekly (30–60 minutes), plus asynchronous communication
• Duration: Minimum 6 – 12 months
• Language: English and Spanish (mandatory)
