Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Revenue Agent 1 to join our Collections Division at the Oregon Department of Revenue. As a Revenue Agent 1, you will play a vital role in assisting taxpayers, employers, and other stakeholders in resolving tax-related issues and disputes. Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced call center environment, providing exceptional customer service to taxpayers, employers, and other entities
- Clarify and resolve tax-related issues and disputes, including explaining laws, programs, policies, and procedures
- Collect past-due taxes through outgoing calls, research, and issuing garnishments, docketed warrants, and UCC Liens
- Process credit card and debit card transactions over the phone and in person
- Determine if liens on paid-in-full accounts should be released

Requirements:
- Six months of customer service or call center experience, including explaining customer balances and identifying discrepancies
- One year of customer service or call center experience, involving explaining policies, laws, rules, or regulations, and resolving problems or complaints
- One year of experience working in support of a collection function or collection work performed as part of other major responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Preference may be given to candidates with English/Spanish bilingual skills
