Journeyman Electrician, UM Housing - Join Our Team!

Take your career to the next level as a Journeyman Electrician with the University of Montana's Housing Department! As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of electrical systems, from installation and maintenance to repair and troubleshooting. About the Role:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems
• Work collaboratively with other crafts to complete projects and provide excellent customer service
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using test equipment and hand tools
• Develop a working knowledge of the UM Housing department's electrical system and obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification
• Research and order materials, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• Ability to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, motors, equipment, appliances, and fixtures
• Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• Experience with conduit, ducts, tract, and raceways, as well as wire installation and circuit sizing
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of safety rules and procedures related to the trade, including OSHA regulations
