We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and related data on a weekly and biweekly basis. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with our Human Resources department and utilize your expertise to drive payroll excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and related data with precision and accuracy on a weekly and biweekly basis.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of payroll information to ensure compliance and adherence to company policies.
  • Facilitate seamless communication with HR regarding payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, and other updates.
  • Administer financial compensations, deductions, bonuses, and severance pay with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees by addressing payroll inquiries, educating them on company-specific payroll policies, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating your versatility and commitment to team success.

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with UKG payroll systems, demonstrating your technical expertise and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and relevant legislation, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and FLSA, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Working knowledge of Ultipro/UKG payroll and WFM timekeeping system, with the ability to learn and master new software applications.
  • Analytical mindset with strong math skills, enabling you to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Associate's Degree, with a preference for candidates with healthcare experience, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex industry-specific regulations and requirements.
