Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with ASD
  • Create a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and families, to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), to inform instruction and behavior management
  • Monitor student progress, adjust instruction as needed, and communicate effectively with families and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Current Minnesota license in Special Education, with a focus on ASD or related field
  • Proven experience in teaching students with ASD, preferably in an urban, multicultural setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
