Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality - Labor & Delivery

Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality to lead our Labor & Delivery team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experiences. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for quality nursing care and unit management
  • Foster an effective work environment for interdisciplinary teamwork, patient satisfaction, and staff satisfaction
  • Serve as a role model and resource to all staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for own professional practice and professional growth
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, escalating situations as needed
  • Establish priorities for patient care delivery, using critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete patient care responsibilities
  • Provide patient/family education and assist in discharge planning, utilizing resources and considering patient/family readiness, barriers, and alternatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree (MS) preferred
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a related clinical area
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a management role, including written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • New York State RN license and registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
