Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality - Labor & Delivery
Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Supervisor, Perinatal Risk and Quality to lead our Labor & Delivery team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional patient experiences. - Provide 24/7 leadership and accountability for quality nursing care and unit management
- Foster an effective work environment for interdisciplinary teamwork, patient satisfaction, and staff satisfaction
- Serve as a role model and resource to all staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate personal accountability for own professional practice and professional growth
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with members of the healthcare team, escalating situations as needed
- Establish priorities for patient care delivery, using critical thinking skills to coordinate and complete patient care responsibilities
- Provide patient/family education and assist in discharge planning, utilizing resources and considering patient/family readiness, barriers, and alternatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree (MS) preferred
- 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a related clinical area
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a management role, including written and oral communication skills, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- New York State RN license and registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
