Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Isaac School District in Arizona. As a paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, working closely with teachers and other staff members to provide individualized instruction, supervision, and care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group instruction to students, reinforcing learning materials and skills introduced by teachers
  • Supervise students in classroom and non-classroom settings, such as playground and lunch periods
  • Assist with testing and assessment of student progress, under teacher supervision
  • Translate materials and information for parents, students, and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and files, both physical and digital
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or 60 college credits, plus one year of childcare work experience
  • Highly Qualified status as designated by No Child Left Behind
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Knowledge of special education practices, policies, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
