Adjunct Professor - Philosophy (Online Classes)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses online at Indian River State College. As an adjunct professor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for Philosophy with students in a dynamic and supportive online learning environment. This is a pool posting, and qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview as needed.Key Details:

Qualifications:
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Philosophy or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Philosophy
- Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner
- Experience with computer literacy and technology-based instruction
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and promote an inclusive learning environment
- Preferred: Doctorate in Philosophy from a regionally accredited institution and 2-5 years of post-secondary teaching experience
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, instruct, and grade coursework for assigned online classes
- Maintain regular office hours to meet with students and provide support
- Participate in department and division meetings as needed
- Utilize technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to work in an online environment with minimal physical demands. However, some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required.
