Job Summary:

We are seeking an Academic Tutor/Behavioral Coach to provide one-on-one support to students in areas such as academic support, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, psychology, or a related field, with experience working with children and adolescents who face behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students through one-on-one coaching sessions, tailored to their individual needs and goals
  • Prepare engaging lessons and activities that promote academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, schedules, and goals
  • Track student progress and update our goal-tracking system regularly
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless support and communication

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, or emotional challenges
  • Availability to work at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm-7 pm, with occasional morning and weekend hours
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion
