We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Officer to join our team, with a strong foundation in aviation and a passion for excellence. As a key member of our flight crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, while providing exceptional customer service and supporting our mission to be the premier 21st-century air cargo platform.


Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented First Officer to join our team, flying the B747-400 or MD11 Fleet type, with a class date in February 2025. As a First Officer, you will be the Second-in-Command of the flight, responsible for complying with all regulations and directives pertaining to the conduct of the flight. Your tour of duty will be 17 days away from your home base.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate in accordance with Western Global Airlines' approved manuals, Operations Specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, Directives, and Manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Comply with all administrative programs, including airport/route qualification, flight time limitations, currency requirements, pilot flight equipment, uniform discipline, manuals, policies, and procedures.

Education and Technical Requirements:

  • Hold a current and valid FAA ATPL.
  • Hold a valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • ICAO English Level IV.
  • Minimum 2500 hours of total flying experience.
  • No history of accidents or incidents.
  • A valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements.
  • Previous part 121 airline/aviation experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and 10-year background check.

Preferred/Ideal Skills:

  • College degree in Aviation or a related field.
  • Previous B747-400/Boeing aircraft type rating or MD-11/Airbus aircraft type rating.
  • 1000 hours of flight time under Part 121 operations.
  • Up to 500 hours of military flight time as pilot in command (PIC) of a multiengine, turbine-powered, fixed-wing airplane can count towards the 1,000-hour requirement.
  • PIC in operations under either § 135.243(a)(1) or § 91.1053(a)(2)(i), or any combination of these.
