Job Title: Entry-Level Merchandise Assistant - Join Our Dynamic Buying Office Team
Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Merchandise Assistant to join our dynamic buying office team. As a key member of our team, you will provide operational support for various buying office teams, including digital, buying, and creative teams. - Generate AdHoc reports using Excel to fulfill supervisor's data entry needs for purchase orders, POS, price changes, and daily sales information.
- Assist the Assistant Buyer in maintaining the purchase order logbook.
- Take ownership of the purchase order creation process by collaborating with vendors and the buying team, ensuring continuous item maintenance.
- Track merchandise logistics and independently troubleshoot shipping problems.
- Compile and distribute reports for the buying team and vendor partners.
- Maintain the vendor database, contact list, and related department records.
- Manage incoming and outgoing vendor communications promptly.
- Handle all aspects of sample management, including receiving samples, accurately recording sample movements in the loan room, and delivering samples to internal locations.
- Utilize the Stella dashboard to manage merchandise workflow and address issues (e.g., On Hand Not Live (OHNL), Issue Tracking System (ITS) Report).
- Prepare samples and product photography leadsheets for delivery to the Creative Production team.
- Perform product attribution in Facet.
- Participate in "product turn-in" meetings with Creative Production to finalize detailed product photography plans.
- Support the Buying team in reviewing and validating images for display on digital platforms.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendor partners and maintain accurate vendor contact information.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying and resolving challenges and opportunities in photography planning, both internally and with external partners.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
