Job Description:

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic part-time Emergency Medical Technician Skills Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll assist students with skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject, evaluate student performance, and provide a professional role model for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject
  • Evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress
  • Assist lead instructor with skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams
  • Prepare students for externships and develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession
  • Provide a professional role model for students and maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as an EMT, paramedic, or RN
  • 1 year of experience in training and/or supervisory experience preferred
  • Current certificate/license to practice as a Paramedic or EMT in the state of California
  • Thorough understanding of EMS training equipment
  • Comfortable with computers and technology
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
