**Job Title:** Lead Airline Partnerships in North America: Unlock Growth Opportunities with Hopper

We're seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our airline partnerships strategy, leveraging their expertise to forge strong relationships with key airline partners and unlock new revenue streams. As Director, Airline Partnerships, you'll be responsible for leading a team of Senior Business Development Managers to achieve key success measures for airline distribution partnerships in your region(s). You'll represent Hopper in the assigned region(s), building executive relationships with airline partners and driving growth through strategic partnerships.
What you'll do:
- Manage your region like a business, identifying growth strategies, tracking team performance, and driving analysis to identify areas of risk and opportunity.
- Create and execute a regionally-focused strategy to address team objectives and regularly report on progress toward target attainment.
- Coach the team on preparing pitches for partnership opportunities, delivering quarterly business reviews, and managing through risk.
- Uncover opportunities to improve commercial relationships and optimal connectivity for airline partner content, summarizing and articulating business cases to internal teams.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to support our Growth team, working with internal stakeholders to optimize collaboration processes.
- Lead and complete contract renewals for top partners in the region, negotiating key commercial opportunities and issues.
- Develop a strategy for managing long-tail partners and work with internal business partner teams to reduce traveler friction and costs.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 10 years of sales/account management experience, with a successful background of driving revenue growth for key accounts and 3+ years of experience leading a team of account managers.
- Prior experience in airline distribution (OTA, TMC, GDS, or airline) is preferred.
- A positive attitude, creative and self-motivated, with a passion for travel and technology.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to distinguish urgent from important work.
- An innovative and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with strong value selling skills and executive-level business acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
