As a key member of the Health Services Consultant 2 team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of credentialing processes for healthcare professionals. Job Description:

As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Your expertise will provide technical guidance to healthcare providers and staff on complex credentialing and regulatory matters. **Key Responsibilities:** * Evaluate applications for compliance with policies, laws, and credentialing standards * Manage the intake, verification, and approval processes, ensuring timely and accurate updates in licensing systems * Provide expert consultation to staff and providers on challenging credentialing questions * Identify and resolve irregularities in credentialing applications * Conduct quality reviews of credentialing processes and ensure data accuracy in credentialing systems * Collaborate with HSQA teams and external partners to streamline workflow and maintain efficient credentialing processes

Requirements:

* 2+ years of experience processing applications for a health profession or facility credentialing program * 1+ year of experience using the division's Integrated Licensing and Regulatory System (ILRS) database * 2+ years of experience resolving customer inquiries, problems, or complaints in a high-production environment * 6+ months of experience using computer software, including word processing, electronic communications, and electronic database systems

Preferred Qualifications:

* Additional years of experience processing applications for a health profession or facility credentialing program * 1+ year of experience reviewing documents and taking appropriate action based on analysis * Associate degree or higher education * 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge and understanding of credentialing requirements, processes, and procedures
