As a successful candidate, you will have a strong background in software development, data systems, and engineering. You will be responsible for creating and testing software, driving continuous improvement in code structure and quality, and applying innovative methods to quick-track concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test software applications using Hadoop, Big Data, Data Science/ML, Python, SQL, and UNIX
• Drive continuous improvement in code structure and quality
• Apply innovative methods to quick-track concepts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
• Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive innovation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of experience working with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and related technologies
• Strong data warehousing concepts and experience with financial reporting environments
• Expertise in distributed systems and experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting and ability to design and develop optimized data pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP/AWS and building microservices and scalable solutions
• 2+ years of experience with designing and building solutions using Kafka streams or queues
• Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and using CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as HBase, Couchbase, or MongoDB
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and project management skills
