Zapier + Airtable Systems Specialist (with web app potential) for Social Connection / Games Business
About Us
Ligare Gatherings (ligaregatherings.com) is a fast-growing Houston-based startup designing gatherings for belonging around the shared ritual of board games. We host structured board game nights, powered by a custom system in Typeform, Zapier, Airtable, and MailerSend. The tech isn’t the product—but it’s the backbone that makes our events scale.
The Role
We already have a complex Zapier/Airtable automation system that was built by an MBA intern and is fully documented in a user manual. It works, but it needs stewardship and evolution as we grow:
Ongoing maintenance + troubleshooting (fix a broken Zap in a timely way)
Iterative backlog development (build new Zaps, refine existing ones to update email templates, dynamic fields, triggers, and customer reminders)
Occasional integration with our Python webhook for custom logic
Future stretch: evolve into Softr/Glide app development on top of Airtable
This is not a one-off gig. I’m looking for someone who can step into a documented system, learn it, reflect back their understanding, and then own it with me over time and help it keep pace with growth and evolution of the business.
What Success Looks Like
You can onboard by reading the manual and giving me a clear map back of the system.
You’re proactive about error-handling and dependencies (not just “it works on my end”), and think critically through which Zaps, fields, and reminders may intersect--and you plan in advance to mitigate the chances something wrong fires to a customer.
You respond within a day or two when issues pop up.
You make it easy for a mildly-technical founder to trust the system is stable.
Who You Are
Proven Zapier experience beyond simple Zaps (show me webhook/API examples and/or complex reminder-based systems)
Strong Airtable skills; MailerSend or email integration a plus.
Clear communicator who can document what you build.
Bonus: experience with Softr, Glide, or other Airtable frontends.
Engagement Model
Initial paid onboarding/audit of our system.
Ongoing part-time engagement (~5–10 hours/week at first) for maintenance + new builds.
Hourly/project work above that as needed.
If you’re someone who enjoys inheriting, understanding, and improving an existing no-code system—and you want to be part of a company focused on real-world human connection—I’d love to talk.
