Learning Specialist / Instructional Designer Needed for Training Courses
We are a small but steadily growing learning & development company founded in 2014. We serve many well-known organizations from the NGO / nonprofit or corporate sectors.
We are seeking an individual freelancer (not an agency) to help develop training materials and explainer videos for our clients.
This is a 100% virtual, term-of-project role with potential to grow into a regular part-time or even full-time position.
Specific Responsibilities:
-Review source material provided by clients (e.g., whitepapers, web pages, books, old training slides, etc.) and translate it into well-organized, easy-to-follow training materials.
Interview client subject matter experts to better understand our audience and the tasks we are training them to perform.
-Follow Sonata Learning’s guidelines and templates for outlines, scripts, and slide decks; and ensure tasks are completed within the allotted hours, to the expected level of quality.
-Provide direction to graphic designers on how to represent concepts, visually.
-Occasionally proofread/edit other writers’ work.
Successful candidates will be asked to complete a 90 minute, paid skills test
In addition to writing skills, we are looking for someone who is highly reliable and responsive, with good communication and collaboration skills, and available for long-term contract work.
Ability to deliver projects within the budgeted # of hours is critical, as are quality, attention to detail, and versatility.
You will be working closely with our senior team members, and must be open to guidance and revisions in order to meet our company's standards and style guidelines.
We are seeking someone who can learn the job quickly, and is looking to grow long-term.
