Global Learning is seeking a creative, results-driven Instructional Designer to join our innovative Design & Development Team. Work closely with learning partners, global subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to develop measurable, AI-infused learning solutions that address real business challenges. Leverage a blend of traditional methods and cutting-edge technology, using an agile approach to curate, redesign, or create transformative learning experiences. These engaging solutions will align with organizational and functional strategies, build knowledge and skills, enhance job performance, and foster a best-in-class learning culture.
Responsibilities:
Co-lead analysis, discovery, and root cause sessions with global teams to identify performance challenges and learning needs
Facilitate and participate in Agile sprints and iterative learning cycles to drive project progress
Design, develop/co-develop or curate, iteratively, engaging and effective learning programs in alignment with business goals, leveraging a variety of modalities including ILT/VILTsessions, eLearning, learning academies, videos, and simulations
Develop design documentation such as outlines, objectives, scripts, and storyboards to guide content creation and delivery
Create and curate a range of learning assets and deliverables (tests, facilitator/participant guides, learner journeys, digital/gamified activities, and videos) for deployment across platforms
Utilize technology tools (Google Suite, Articulate Storyline/360, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, LMS, LXP) to prototype, develop, and manage learning solutions
Apply learning analytics and AI tools for data-driven instructional design, performance tracking, evaluation, and reporting
Collaborate with vendors and internal developers to ensure high-quality learning solutions and adherence to project vision
Present learning solutions and design recommendations to project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional groups
Support project planning, maintenance, and administrative tasks to ensure successful execution of learning programs
Manage or contribute to special projects, vendor relations, and change management initiatives to drive adoption and impact
Stay current on emerging learning trends, adult learning principles, technology, and best practices; share knowledge to promote growth, innovation, and inclusive learning experiences
Explore and pilot new tools and approaches to continuously improve the engagement, efficiency, and effectiveness of learning programs
Handle learning administrative tasks when necessary
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Learning Experience Design, Communication, or a related field
3+ years of experience designing and developing learning solutions in a corporate or similar environment
Experience with Agile development and global project teams
Experience managing and communicating end-to-end D&D needs through ADDIE phases
Experience writing scripts, storyboards, and materials for ILT/VILT, elearning and videos
Working knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy and Kirkpatrick evaluation
Ability to travel between Piscataway, NJ & NYC office when necessary or conferences/train the trainer sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
User Experience Design
Gamification experience
Adobe Illustrator/Photoship, Coding Experience or Prompting in an AI tool to create code/designs, a plus
Experience with CPG and/or Global Organizations
Ability to prioritize emerging project needs
Ability to co-manage projects and project teams through multiple rounds of revisions
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $83,200.00 - $117,500.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
