Masters Level Counseling / Social Work Intern
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide individual, couples, family, group, and substance abuse psychotherapy services to clients, as guided by the Clinical Supervisor.
• Conduct formal assessments of client needs using clinical interviews and diagnostic tools.
• Develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients, adhering to strength-based, evidence-based best practices.
• Maintain detailed clinical records and make recommendations concerning case disposition.
• Complete agency-required and billing-related communications in a professional and timely manner.
• Actively participate in clinical supervision meetings to meet best practice and licensure standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in human services or a closely related field is required.
• Active enrollment in a Master's degree program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• A written internship agreement between the educational institution and LSS is required.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in trauma-informed care or family therapy.
• Familiarity with community resources and support services for families.
